Self-imposed physical anguish vs. slow apathetic...
So here I sit, waist-deep in a four hour meeting at work, and I’m thinking about…pullups. And burpees. And how much I’d rather be gassed out by a brutal metcon, seeing stars and wrestling with pukie, than in my current state of relative physical comfort while pretending to give a shit about budgets and agendas.

My shoulders haven’t been this fried since…well…ever. Somewhere between a bumper plate and a kettlebell...
Since the beginning of April, I’ve been doing CrossFit. I’ve gone from total skeptic to the guy mixing the kool-aid in that time, and with good reason. I feel better than I have since I was an 18 year old, and that was 20 years ago. As of this morning’s weigh-in, I’ve lost 50 lbs. More than a big bumper plate. Almost a 1.5 pood kettlebell. Recording for my scrapbook…after a couple months of crossfit I finally made it in for a Painstorm Monday. The Wod: 5 Sets: 3 x Ground to Overhead (choice of lift) 135 (scaled to 105) 15 x Ball Slams (20 lbs) Run 800m 5 Sets: 3 x Power Snatch 135 (did 105 again) 15 Wall Balls (20 lbs) Run 800m All of the above times 2 rounds. Ouch.
